“I don't consider myself to be identified as black. Black is a color that describes something. I consider myself an African American. However, I have been studying my roots and my heritage for a while now. I have been reading about the Moors and their history and origin to gain better knowledge of who I am and where I came from.”

Hello everyone. I go by the name Shay Renee. I am the mother of a beautiful 2 year old princess, the daughter of Authoress Lady Lissa, and a new author signed under Unique Pen Publishing. I am well known for my short stories that I have posted on Facebook. They've reached a lot of people, which inspired me to pick up the pen and write my first book, Deron and Nariah: A Tarnished Tale of Love. I love interacting with new people, especially readers. I take my work very seriously, so feedback is always welcome and respected. I look forward to connecting with more people and putting out more books in the months to come. Peace and blessings to you all.

Synopsis for Book One: Deron has the world in his hands. He’s young, handsome and an NBA basketball player, for the Houston Rockets. He's also living a secret that involves drugs, and the fast life. When he meets Nariah, a beautiful, smart fashion design intern, he is smitten to say the least.

Nariah never imagined herself to become the girl of someone like Deron, but the two quickly become an item. What happens when jealousy from an outside source gets involved in their relationship? What happens when Nariah stumbles across some information that is sure to rock her happy union? Find out how the two work things out in Deron & Nariah: A Tarnished Tale of Love…

Synopsis for Book Two: The drama continues as the couple try to deal with the trials and tribulations that life keeps throwing at them. Deron finds himself in a precarious situation, which causes other unfortunate circumstances to take place. Nariah finds herself facing problems she never thought she would have to deal with, which includes an unexpected visit from someone from her past. Allyson, on the other hand, finds herself in the middle of a dilemma right before giving birth that puts her marriage and health at stake. Troy and Ariel also begin to experience ups and downs as the search for the missing drugs begin to take a turn for the worst. Will Deron and Nariah’s relationship withstand the test of fate or will everything that’s happening around them lead it to its demise. Follow these lovers, friends, and foes as things come to a head in the finale of this series.
