"Dedicated to promoting positive Black Identity & Health in African People Worldwide"
Purpose: BIHAPI, which stands for Black Identity & Health in African People International is the brainchild of Danielle Leach, conceived in December 2017 as a means to bridge the gap among Blacks within the African diaspora worldwide. While completing her second year as a PhD student in Clinical Psychology in Los Angeles, Danielle was motivated to create an organization whose underlining purpose is centered on promoting positive change within African people internationally.
Objectives: To promote positive African identity and health in Black people cross-culturally, Danielle has made a commitment to researching various cultures within the African diaspora to gain a better understanding of not only what makes us unique as an African people, but also to assess the common thread of what makes us different. To that end, BIHAPI seeks to bridge the divide and lessen the gap among Africans within the diaspora through research, education, and community engagement.
Mission: To promote positive African identity within Black people worldwide through education, the arts, and community engagement.
