“I love to identify myself as black or as African American. As a race, I feel as though we have overcome so many obstacles just as good or better than other races. We've been thrown so many obstacles that were meant to break us. But we used it to make us better.”
 
Mercedes aka Desia'Ra S. Moore was born November 27, 1992, in Louisville, Kentucky. At the age of twelve, Desia'Ra discovered her love for writing. She would write numerous poems as well as short stories. Desia'Ra became a dedicated reader during her freshmen year of high school. Her first non-fiction was book was “Harlem on Lock” By Karen Williams. She then started reading books ranging from Sista Soulja to Mary Monroe. Reading became more of a double life for her. A place where she could read and imagine herself as anyone. At the age of twenty-three, Desiara gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Laya Semone and was determined to make a better life for her and her family. Suddenly being a writer crossed her mind, and she then decided to start to write her first book. Not thinking anything would come of it, just something to do in her spare time. But with the help of a fellow Author and Publisher Sha Jones, she finally achieved her dream to become a published Authoress. With a long way ahead of her to become a well known Authoress, her next goal is to have her books in all of the Libraries over the world. She wants people to know and to believe that, no matter where you come from that you can be whatever you set your mind to be.
 
Book Synopsis: 
 
Meet Semone, a 23-year-old woman with her whole life ahead of her. She has a bright future and an amazing best friend, Taylor. Her only misfortune is her abusive boyfriend Lance, who has broken her down completely. 

Taylor, who has been Semone's best friend since childhood, is living the dream. She has the perfect career, house, boyfriend of three years. With the perfect life, she just wants her friend to be happy, so she sets her up with the sexy, mysterious Lawrence, aka Law. 

Lawrence or “Law” as he’s known in the started from the bottom and has finally arrived, but with no woman to share it with, his life is miserable and lonely, until he meets Semone. Falling in love for the first time brings out things in him he never thought it would, but this whirlwind romance and coming from different lifestyles causes their relationship to hang in the balance. 

Chris “Keys” is a long time corner boy turned Kingpin, but he knows he won’t live forever, and without a child of his own to pass it on to, his high-life lifestyle isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. With the woman of his dreams by his side, and a potential bun in the oven, he knows it’s time to settle down, but what happens when outside forces threaten to take away the very thing you’ve spent your entire life waiting for? 

Sit down, and take a ride as these couples play the hands that they were dealt and find out who has the Realest Love Ever.
